Would it be a smart idea to use lower guage wire all round rather than the stock ones?
I was thinking about re wiring the front and rear skearer wires with better stuff.
would it be worth it?

I highly suspect no judging by the question

If your running your speakers off an amp it may be worth it, but your going to be redoing your wiring as a result anyway.

but by the sounds of it your just running form the headunit and just want to replace the wiring as it sits, pretty much I can't imagine many if any headunits with a strong enough inbuilt amplifier to cause any problems with stock wiring.

are you talking about 12 gauge? Why not try acoustic suspension sealed satellites that are the most appropriate. As for the rear-channel surround speakers, they usually sound best when positioned three or more feet higher than the front speakers. Btw, I got plans on replacing my {DESCRIPTION}. any idea where to get the best stuff?

duvauchellemotors - improving the quality (not always size) of the speaker cabling genrally always helps however if this is only a small scale everyday listening system - all run of the factory head unit then going any larger or better probably wont see any audible or noticeable improvement - unless there is an issue with the exisiting wire and then yes you should replace with the same size/quality as the factory if not better.

I would certainly not recommend going smaller then the factory wiring sizes.

Power/Ground wires are were the gains are made when going large current carrying capicty cable etc not so much speaker wire....for speaker wire all your after is adequate sheilding from external interference and large enough to carry the required power as per the speakers requirements...

-------------

Petty I think you would find it difficult placing any rear speaker in most fords three feet higher than the factory front door speaker placements.

The radiator question would be better placed in the 6/8 cylinder sections or wanted - the best will be going a full aluminium style radiator however you'd be looking $800 plus for a brand name one - you can get your current brass/copper radiatores overhauled and re-painted for round $120
