Gday Guys,

the stocky speakers out of my EF fairmont are a three screw setup, with three holes in the parcel shelf. I just bought a new set of 6" with 4 screw holes and only 2 of them line up.

Anyone got suggestions without drilling the metal in shelf?

Cheers

i used the original speaker covers for my new speakers because i want to keep mine looking stock it was just a matter of unclipping them from the originals and i suggest this if you work at shopping centres and leave your car hanging around places that attracts crims.

I have already had my system already pinched once not gonna happen to me again

my 2 cents everyone has there own opinion

Really?

I live in the back streets of a fairly "bad" neighbour hood and run a TV and DVD and sub and amp and have no issues.

2 mounting points is OK if your running rears bandpassed. Otherwise you may need to drill another couple of holes. You wont see them anyway so shouldnt be a problem.

yeah, maybe 2 will do the trick,

i was also thinking of putting a real thin spacer (of MDF or marine ply) between the speaker and the parcel shelf to have the four holes. The speaker would screw to the spacer, and the spacer to the parcel shelf.

Comments?

6mm MDF would be great for that
