Could go for this one, although never used kicker myself. "Kicker DX200.4"

"Kicker DX200.4" http://www.jbhifi.com.au/car-sound-gps- ... sku-62012/ He has two subs that are rated at 250Wrms each... He needs 500Wrms, not 200Wrms. IamSteve... You need to find an amp that does about 500Wrms at 4 ohm or 1 ohm. The cheaper option will be a 2 channel amp that is rated at around 500Wrms when bridged to 1 channel. You're going to have to look around for something second hand if you only have $200. Last edited by Stone on Mon Aug 23, 2010 2:20 pm, edited 1 time in total. |

Option audio 801x.
800wrms at 2ohm. Around 280$ Best thing you'll buy. This amp coupled with my old kicker cvr pulled 137db. |

Clearly I can not read
I apologise for my mistake, but the amplifier you linked to does 200Wrms at 4 ohm when bridged. He requires 250Wrms at 2 or 8 ohm because his sub is dual 4 ohm. The model number you listed would work by bridging the 4 channels down to 2 channels and then running each coil... But it's a weird way to run a single sub. |

dont get a multi channel amp, you will all ways get crappy performance compared to a mono, you are better off getting a good mono that has abit more power then 250rms at 4Ohm, cos you will have to turn the gains down to suit the sub any way, when you do that, the amp is no longer pushing out its top power, plus having that bit more power give you the option of using a second sub without the need to buy a second/ new mono.

Stone wrote: This is inside your price range and does 300Wrms at 2 ohm which suits ONE of those subs perfectly. This is a bit above your price range but give you some extra power on top so you won't be running the amp too hard. This is only JUST over your price range and makes more power than both... the third sub (Kenwood KAC-8105D) is you best bet out of them, 300rms at 4Ohm as its a 2Ohm DVC sub so it can't be wire to 2Ohm |
