Does anyone know if I can buy any units that will allow me to start my car remotely? I wanna let her warm up for a couple of mins before I start driving.. without having to leave my key in the car.

What's the difference between the 1-way and the 2-way models?

Also.. will the remote start work with smartlock?

neg, smartlock and remote start really dont like each other. 1 way means its just a transmitter but 2 way means u get info back from the car im guessin. but yes seach on here for remote start its been coverd a few times, smartlock has to be bypassed tho, or buy a non smartlock ecu and loose ur bbm ;) which ever suits u :P

I'd like to bypass the smartlock and have an alarm/immobiliser with remote start...

You're right on the 2 way thing.. You get info back like if your car actually did start.

now.. how to bypass the smartlock..

theres none that do, u have to fully remove smartlock. the viper and code alarms are good for remote start but yea id reccomend removin smartlock its not that useful and then u get the benifit of remote start aswell and a car that takes longer then 40min to steal ;)

IIRC someone on here is selling boxes that bypass smartlock.

66_coupe maybe?

A couple of things.

do you realise that letting your car idle from cold is bad for it?
Also other that doing this damage, why else would you want remote start? I can only think of one other and I hope that's not it!
