Hey all, i was reading up on removing the factory deck in the EF/EL series falcons, and im wondering, can i get a TORX driver in a local hardware store, or because its a security thing do i have to outsource it? Basically, where do i get it, which one do i need (apparently there are 2 or 3 types) and roughly how much do they cost.
Also, while im at it, can anybody tell me how to mix and match sound system components, like if i want certain speakers, what amp do i pick? Cheers fellas. Cameron. |

hey if memory serves me right its a t15 torx bit they are available from most good automotive and tool stores they usally come in a set that you use with a 3/8 drive ratchet or in allen key style as for mix and matchin it all depends on what your after spl(sound perfomance level db)or sql(sound quality level clarity / clearness) what you would want to combine both is a good headdeck ,good set of 6.5 inch splits for the front good set of 6.5 for the rear and 1 or 2 good subs combined with right amp you will be laughin hope that helps

OK, ill have a squizz at repco and SuperCheap to see what i can find
What i was thinking, was pioneer deck, 2x6" front, 2 6x9 Rear, 1 Sub and whatever amp i needed (was looking at a 360W). Is it enough to just replace stock parts if im just looking for that extra quality? Student budget here so yeh |

Get a small flat bladed screw driver and break off the pin that makes it a secure torx by bending it one way then the next , then use a normal torx to undo it.

Student budget here so yeh forget the 6x9's and get 6" in the back and a set of cheap splits up front. are you looking for sq or spl?

You can get the full set of security bits from D ick Smith for around $15-20. I wouldnt bother with the 6x9's in the rear as its alot of work for no real benefit if you are going to install a sub.
