Go grab your self grip on pliers tighten them on and twist, should come off pretty easy took me roughly 15 minutes as i am a very impatient bloke, who likes to get things done straight away what ever the cost or sacrifice.

All done! ..I gave up doin it myself (too many wires to fiddle with!) ..Only paid $50 to get it installed.. Works great! Now all i need are some decent speakers to replace those 'tinny' stock ones :?

Any recommendations on what speakers to use?
What are the biggest sized speakers that will mount to the front and back of the car (el xr8)..

Also, Interceptor, I only payed $530 for the P1Y deck, cheaper than the 8450, courtesy of ebay! Does that change ur opinion? lol

You can get 6' upfront and 6x9's at the back (but you will need spacers if you wish no to cut into your parcel shelf) This combination is probably the best as you get both low and high frequency notes. Unless you want to get 6' all round and a sub in the boot amplified this will be better. But when it comes down to it it's all about your needs.
Hope ive helped a bit.

Yeh i think ill go for the 6's all round option as i would like to get a sub in the boot.. The question is though, what are some good quality 6's?

Also, how deep can 6's in the fron door pod be before obstructing something?

If you don't mind me asking, which vendor did you buy it from? I'm in the market now for something similar and im looking at spending a similar amount. Hopefully i can do as well as you have.

I don't care what any one else says, if you have the money go straight for "cadence" if anyone has heard this audio brand then they will know that they kick a**, I mean my mate has 4' splits in th front of his car and he tells me there better then his pioneer 6' in the back. Trust me and i believe him crystal clear sounds. 8-)

Have a look at "wesell_4less"'s products on ebay in the car audio section and he'll have a few decks you can choose from for heaps cheap..
