Hey all,
I have just recenty bought a new set of 4" splits for my eb, I already have a good set of rear 6" and a pair of alpine front 4" running off a 4channel, plus sub n amp. I was planning on putting the splits in the door and alpine in the dash. So I have a few questions. 1- how do I get to the dash speakers? 2- should I run the rears and splits off 4chan and run the dash off the headunit or both pairs of fronts off amp and rears off headunit. 3- whats the best place to mount tweeters, crossovers in the ea-Ed Thanks |

There are no dash speakers. Speakers are mounted in the doors and rear parcel shelf.

what you need to do is get a set of 6.5" splits. put the woofer in the door. and the tweeter in the dash spot. i did it. works awesome. but if your running splits like that you'll need to modify the wiring you can't use the factory tweeter wiring. just run new ones

How's you blow them up?
I've got them tuned off the amp so the volume can be like 3 off max so loud you can hardly sit in there and no distortion? Could use some more mid tho |

4" speakers are s**t. too small. won't handle s**t. and if they get loud they won't stay clear

Conventional 2/3 way 4" don't like it too loud but splits can take way more punishment.

all i have done is destroy the woofer part.
i had a set of JBL coaxial 4". f**k then a set of Hertz coaxials. f**k then a set of VDO Dayton splits. lasted the longest. but still f**k So i cut the holes out and put in Herts energy series 6.5" splits. Best thing i've ever done. I have blown up a rear set too. Had JBL all round at the start. But i s**t the 4" first. replaced then with the Hertz 4". Then s**t the JBL 6.5" coaxial rears like 2 weeks later and went to Hertz energy series coaxials. They've in there over 2 years. But now i am Running Hertz energy all round with a OA 5 channel. Stereo sounds awesome but the rears have had enough. There old. So i'm upgrading the rears to Morel
