hi all
currently got a gas tank and massive sub box sitting in my boot. which leaves no room for much else. Got an install idea that ive seen in a lexus where they use 2 Subs on either side. For space saving, i wanna go with the pinoeer 12" shallow mount subs. TS-SW301. however havn't heard much about them and their sound quality. anyone here got one? or heard them? if so how are they?
Cheers
Craig

i dunno about the pioneers but i've got a rockford 12" shallow in my ute, in a pioneer shallow box.
driven by a jaycar monoblock.
goes good for what it is, but lacks outright volume compared to a 'normal' 12.
i think 2 of them in a sedan would work alright as long you aren't expecting boot rattling SPL.

at the moment, im running a pioneer 12" tsw301. 800W max 250Wrms (i think) running off a 2 chan 300W pinoeer amp. just took the ub outta the box and i could get away with my current sub and still have a fair bit of boot space.

They are not a great sub. most good shallow mounts would give simmilar levels of SPL and most probabaly better sound quality.
