I have a 96 ef fairmont ghia with premium sound of course and was wondering if i brought a four channel amp could i hook it up to the four 6'' stock speakers and make them louder and still have a good quality then i could run the stock sub of the stock amp in the back and the head unit for the ones on the dash. Does all this sound like it would be good idea?????
Someone mentioned an alpine V-power 4 channel 40W RMS per channel. it has quite low THD i think about 0.08% $299. would this do the job.

thanks peoples.

I have the Alpine V-Power 4ch amp running my front components and rear two ways. This is a great amp, plenty of power for my needs. Maybe try some new speakers first, they're usually the weakest link in a stock sound system.

Yeah try and look for a decent pair of speakers if you can, stock speakers always hold back a good sounding system. :)

the front speakes in the doors are very poor quality, not made for any mid bass at all thats y they have a capacitor in-line. id replace them as they will let down the amp.
