You mean that square black thing with silver circles? That would be cooling fans...presumably from computer parts...

The LTD's boot
The Front. I've gone a very non-showy, almost stealth install while retaining full practicality (not short changed on quality gear either). Take the sub box out and I've lost nearly zero boot space. Alpine IVA-W502e double DIN head unit (+ 400BT bluetooth kit) Alpine DHA-690 6-disc DVD stacker Alpine PXA-H701 processor (both sources optically connected for zero noise) Hifonics Zeus 4x200W '25th Anniversary' amp Hifonics Brutus 1600W '25th Anniversary' amp Scanspeak Illuminator 1" soft dome tweeter Scanspeak Revelator 5" mid bass Hertz Mille ML3000 12" subwoofer in custom designed/build box (offering either ported or sealed as required) Under the parcel shelf, utilising the factory stacker bracket - fits like it was made for it. (factory stacker is an Alpine unit, so the odds were good it'd bolt right up). The processor is mounted above the stacker, but below the parcel shelf, meaning really short RCAs needed to get to the amps; equals no noise and best signal quality. Amp rack custom made from angle aluminium and welded up. bolted to the parcel shelf. Amps test mounted to the rack.

Very nice setup there data_mine, some very high caliber gear in that install. Your Scanspeak front stage would sound pretty good I imagine . Where have you located the tweeters with your install?
I had the pleasure of listening to Scanspeak Illuminator tweeter's, 12m Revelator midrange's, and 7" Revelator midbass drivers in a 3 way active front stage in an Altezza; I was completely blown away with the SQ, best sounding drivers I have heard hands down. |

I've already won a few SQ trophy's with it. So yeah it sounds pretty darn good. More to come though, needs more time spent on the tune to be really great. All speakers are in the factory locations, not ideal for SQ, but ideal for my install goals - stealth.
