Anyone got some pictures of a boot install in a BA/BF?
I've got 1x 12" sub and i'm not too sure how im going to install it yet... The BA/BF boots aren't very box-friendly... they are very rounded...

Yeah the wall is just MDF covered in carpet and its nailed onto the box... which is bolted into the floor. Shape wasnt too hard... make sure you use cardboard templates first, should be fine if you've got a jigsaw.

2x12s
fusion mono block with remote level ICC mod to give RCA out (search for my guide) neon operated when boot open (and mounted better, it made a good worklight at night) box designed built and carpeted by myself takes little room can still fit things through to the front if needed and its loud

wow i really like that... i suppose i could do something similar, with the amp on one side and sub on the other... maybe a capacitor or something in the middle...
looks like it would have taken a bit of work though... does the RCA mod make much difference compared to a high-low level converter? or did you never try one...

Started with this
Then this I now have this in the boot Secret is build a false floor, or go a custom fit fibreglass sub box.

my box has the amp mounted in the middle , but thats down to personal taste
took about a day to design and make up , was also not working hard on it just the 12oz curls were more important he he cardboard templates are your friend here rememeber measure twice make once pitty your far away or id say rock on over for a fun day of car audio tinkering i used to work for a well known car audio shop in NSW the RCA mod gave me way better results i tried the stinger LLC and a powered fusion LLC , both had sounds but not full rich bass like u get with the RCAs , the only LLC i know of that works well with the ICC is the LC6 but retailing at $249 its a high price to pay, the audio quality of the mod is on par with the LC6

Only downside is you have to tune from the amp's.. cant just modify sounds from the stock cd player. |
