smartlock on my ED has s**t it self i have a mate who is a auto elec reckonds he can bypass it if i can get him a wiring diagram.can any one help thanks gary

smartlock has two main immobilisations, one is it inhibits the starter relay, which can be bypassed, however smartlock also disables the ecu, ie the ecu will not provide any fuel unless there is a valid smartlock data stream, so to bypass this part of smartlock, you need a bypass module which will transmit the required code to the ecu

Hi, Just wanted to let you know that after having my car looked at by the NRMA and the local Ford Dealership mechanic I rang another auto electrian and he told me if my interior light was not working to check the fuss. I changed the fuss and the car started straight away. Since then I have had no problems. Apparently this fuss over rides the smart lock.How easy
