Did you seriously just compare OA to boss audio....
You can hardly compare boss audio to any brand, its that s**t. Its as good as rampage and bezerk, us audio. OA is damn good "bang for buck" and quality to back it up. Boss audio is cheap nasty s**t... |

NOOOO, you misunderstood if u think that i was comparing BOSS to oa or any other brand for that matter, i was simply stating that everyone has there niche when it comes to this, ppl have had good exp with certain brands and other not such good exp it all depends, but i can comfortably say that oa is BETTER by far to boss audio.... LOL
and if u thought BOSS audio was the worst out there, WRONG... AMERICAN PRO i think is the cheapest crappiest of the crappiest u can get, let me know if u agree http://www.americanproaudio.com/subwoofers.html Last edited by LOLHSV on Sun Jan 23, 2011 10:25 pm, edited 1 time in total. |

Ive had my Pioneer subs for bout 6 years now and my Pioneer DVD Player for 4 years and my mono block is really old too. If they can put up with my abuse for that long then its a good brand in my books.
Ive used BOSS Audio 4channel, sounded reasonable (Not good, resonable), but only lasted 2 years. Had an Eclipse HU, that lasted 3 years and the CD Player had to be repaired 3 times til it broke again and i binned it. Sounded bloody good tho. My bro has kenwood 6" speakers and they seem to go alright without issue. He's also been through, one Soundstorm amp, one powervox amp and a Boschman amp. IMHO if you stick with brands like, Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, Clarion, Sony and the main brands you will be OK in terms of Quality and going the distance, everyone has there preference, and everyone has different ears, so whatever speaker sounds good to me may sound like s**t to you.

No. I'm not sure why I'm even bothering, you seem to know it all anyway. kEnWoOd4LyF!!! |

Okay then.
We'll go back to LOLHSV's first post in this thread. Few points I'd like to clear up. {USERNAME} wrote: i would go kenwood... amp and sub. I would def stay away from option amp, they say they get 500 rms at 14.4 v?? find me a car that runs perfectly on 14.4 v? maybe 13... but usually 11 - 12.8. so that means ur rms power output is reduced. look out for that because cheaper brands market there products tested at 14.4 volts.... not the same volts u would find across the battery terminals in ur car thats for sure. u pay a bit more for better quality, that lasts longer and saves u headaches later on, TRUST ME haha. stay away from option amps. go this sub... http://www.ryda.com.au/Kenwood-KFC-W301 ... cw3012.htm go this amp... http://www.ryda.com.au/Kenwood-KAC-M615 ... cm615d.htm Kenwood dont even list the voltage at which the rated RMS is measured at. At idle you should have 13.8v plus, up to 14.4v. That sub is rated at 400rms@4ohms. Single voice coil. That amp is rated at 200rms@4ohms, 300rms@2ohms. That sub can only be present a 4ohm load to an amplify, so that means that amp you recommended will have a whopping 200rms on offer. What a powerhouse. So now that its clear everything you've said is complete rubbish, f**k off! |
