Hey there
Thaught id share my progress on my New Audio Install for others to see..... The System Consists of the following: 2x 1200wmax 400wrms 12" Kenwood Subs 1x 1500wrms D class Monoblock Amp from Responce 1x 130wrmsX4 4 channel Amp from Responce 4x 160w Pioneer 2 way Splits Headunit is still being Decided but im leaning towards Pioneers Flagship Model Headunit The Boot will Consist of the 2 subs the 2 amps and False Flooring/side pannels to blend..... All Pannels/sub box is constructed with 12mm MDF minus the 6mm Glass pannel The Sub Box itself will face the back seats with a gap of about 250-300mm from the back seat.... The Back of the box Has a cut out for a 6mm Thick Toughfend Glass pannel to be inserted into the back making it so the Back of the subs and inside of the box will be on full display.... Inside the Box itself it will be Lined with Stark White Vynel (matched to cars body couler... THIS WAS f**k HARD TO FIND!!!).. the Box outside and side pannels/floor will be Lined with Charcole Black Carpet. The amps will be Located on the Side pannels both left and right.... The will be inbeded in a pit inside of the side pannels with a 4mm thick sheet of Toughfend Glass covering the pit... at the back of the side pannel the top of the pit will be open to allow for Ventalation and to run the wires out too... First thing to start Was the Construction of the Box.... We began by cutting out all the Required pieces then screwd/glued the box up minus the top so i can gain entry to wire the subs and line the box..... Progress Pics: Cutting out.. Ready to be put together... Screwed and Glued.... Running the 0 Gauge Power Cable to boot.... (fat basterd was too big for my footwells! Going to line the outside of the box tomorow and also line the inside Vynle.. and make a start on the floor/side pannels after mounting the box UPDATE: 15 April Got all the Side Pannels and False Floor Cut out and together Today... Everything works so that the Middle pannel of the floor can be lifted out in one move too allow quik and easy access to the Spare wheel. NOTE: We used another EA we own to put everything in first, so we could measure out are pieces Before having to pull out my Old System, So the car in the Pic is not the car this gear will be staying in (it will be in my car) Side pannels, Floor and Box in place... hey ther Folks, Well the Amps Arrived yesterday after a Very speedy order Going to be working both Saturday and Sunday Putting all the carpet on and lyning the inside of the box + running the wires for the Woofas.... Will also start on those Pits for the Amps..... Amps and Subs: Havnt posted in updates for about 2 weeks now so heres how its going....... Iv got all the floor Carpeted and in, I have constructed the Amp Pits in both side pannels and made up some top covers for the boot hinge Area....... Glass is taking WAY longer to arrive than first expected, Turns out they Cut the Amp Glass to the wrong measurement and had to start againg... so i hope to start on the Glass work next weekend, Tomorow i will be Lining the Inside of the Sub box..... anyways here are some pics Floor in..... Constructing Amp pits..... Amp pits in with floor.... 4th May...... Glass has finnally Arrived today, but unfortunitly i have to work all this weekend on a shutdown job so i wont get a chance to do anything about it untill next week some time......... GLASS PICS ON PAGE 3 Lights Have also Arrived today, 2 lights for each amp, lights in box, and light in boot..... Page 3 has details 11th May.... hey there folks........ well i had a bit of spare time today so i decided to do some more work on the box, i managed to get the entire box lyned inside, mount the light, and also carpet half of the outside of the box......... Tomorow i will be finishing off the carpet, putting the subs in, and finally putting the Glass face on........... that will pretty much be it for the box, as far as the amp pits go, iv vylned all inside the pit, and now its ready for the amp to be screwed down, and the glass to be put on, then carpeted...... hopefully have it finished next weekend as i am still waiting on the terminal blocks i orderd and aslo still need to order a new H/U... as you will see in the pics, i have used rubber Gromits inside the box and painted them white, so i can bring my wired in through them for the subs pics........ All of the Floor, and both of the Side pannels are Fully Removable without the need for the use of any tools..... The Sub Box however will be Mounted with Right Angle Brackets at both bottom and top... The whole Idea of Building this up was to make sure the Jack and Spare wheel are still fully Accessible if i needed them on the side of the road..... I also got Awesome Secret Compartments now too!!

Looks good Southy - good choice on using glass over perspex...considering the weight difference won't be an issue presuming you will be removing it all for the drags etc.
