Nicco. It may be a good idea to fit a panel of 12 - 19mm mdf under the parcel shelf to strengthen it and to make it a little more solid to provide more bass. Its basically a sandwich which the speaker holes are cut out and the speakers can screw straight to into the mdf panel.

i see what your saying. i might run it past my mate and see hwat he reckons.

also, itd proly be fairly hard to put a bit of mdf under there without drilling holes all through the top... which i think is the one thing he reall doesnt want. unless i am missing an easier way of doing it

but yeah, i will ask him.

You fasten the mdf with the speaker screws only and maybe some glue between the mdf and parcel shelf. From the top it cant be seen at all.

ahh sweet. looks easy enough to do nicely.

do you reckon it made much of a difference to the sound? Spose you didnt test it before and after looking at your pics.
