I have decided to have a go at puting an SPL system into my XH ute. Before people go trying to tell me that ya cant cut the back wall and stull like that, autobarn in Cairns now has an engineer working for them and will be able to design and install necessary braces to remove whole back wall of cab. SXo that is saughted already. To get in on the action I have bought some cheap boss gear off Ebay to start the build rolling. Am having a slot ported box with twin 12 inch subs. However work has been hell lately so may take a while for this install. But the next sound off is not for a while so gonna give it a go. Will keep you all posted.

Cam.

wait...when you do an SPL setup the pressure has to go through the cabin to be registered as a SPL set up yeah? cause the dB reader is in the cabin?

i always thought you can do an SPL in a ute without making a hole in the back wall.

Probably could. But then there is not enough room for a decent box or I would have no seats. LOL. So next best thing is in the rear wall.

Well I now have 2 Boss 500wrms subs and 2 nice little amps to drive them off. So all I gotta do is everything else.
