hey guys just wondering what color wire is the starter motor wire is from the ignition. friend told me it was yellow but i thought yellow is a constant power source. need this as i want to put in an additional switch for security. thanks.

use a multimeter on the igntion swich and find which wire goes to 12v when cranking. Or just find the permanent 12v to the key switch and put the switch inline with that
