Hey guys,
Recently purchased a 2004 BA Falcon XL Ute... My problem is the stock speakers in the door are shot and I'm in the market for some new ones. I've been informed that my car should have a stock amp already in place most likely behind my glove box somewhere...is there any truth to this??? If so what is the rating of the amp? Also would it be able to support 2 x 4-way Pioneer speakers? Or am I in the market for a new amp too? Pretty new to the site and I don't have a lot of knowledge about cars so humour me if it's something really obvious. Cheers

Who ever told you about the amp is pissing in your pocket.
The ICC has an inbuilt amplifer, but there is some conjecture as to whether it supplies 25 or 35 WRMS per channel. |

I'm 99.9% sure there is no amp behind your glove box. I would recommend a pair of splits, depending on your price range any thing from a cheap pair of eclipse ones to alpine type r or at the high end of the scale MB quart Q-line Then any cheap cheap amp should do you say 75 - 100watts RMS, how ever a high quality amp will deliver better sound.

wether an amp is $50 or a $1000 it is only as good as its power
The problem with products is how there made and where As I know of some cheap amps that make some brand name amps look like crap a $299 axis 4 ch compared to a pioneer 4 ch at the same power rating GIVE ME THE AXIS ANY DAY as the aXis is made by AGAKO and there rated as good as Earthquake |
