which runs or sounds better. there Alpine type R running off a MRD F1005 Nice choice in gear Rusty ... and they wont sound so much different....from what ive heard and listened too...seperate enclosures do sound better....so one big sub box is fine...so long as it is internally sealed so each sub has its won sealed volume....so long as each enclosure is the right cubic capacity for the subs. 2x completely seperate boxes 'could' sound 'better' wont necesarily mean higher DB reading or anything...but depending on setup they could sound better from in the cabin...depending how there aimed...you could create better forward audible dispersion...but subs are omni-directional so wouldnt make some massive difference imo

Either configuration will work fine if it's well built.
my 2 x 12's are in a common enclosure in both my falcons.
