good you got it sorted, was guna say are you using a mono black amp and did u try "tune" it in to a more listenable bass range? eg. frequency and bass boost and sub volume etc depending on your amp.

if u keep the 6x9s tune the bass down on them and tune the mid and treble up, let the sub do all the work, this will help lower distortion on massive notes!

imo all falcons sound crap
unless you a) sound deaden your boot ,the shred felt from old inner spring mattresses works 100% and can be obtained with the use of a incontinent relative and a stanley knife pull up/out the carpet covers if it a ghia and spare wheel ,boot cover , boot lid can be filled, wheel arches can be filled, glue it inside the sub box too. glue the deadnin to the body and reatatch carpets. obtain the carpets to cover if not ghia B)subz will sound off beat unless you face , phase and finally tune them correctly. upward sloping reward facing and firing outwards (depending on sub and box ) is a easy place to start in a big boot . c)6x9s are loud crap for 90z try hards( kidding). get good set of 6 1/2 splits for the back and front. the front ones have to be shallow the rear need good crossovers when amped. tune speakers before subz. i use response presicsion from jaycar dont worry about the hump unless it factors into a custom box. once you figure it out tha only down side is broken rear view mirrors, windscreens , fried batteries /alternators , industrial deafness and cryng carpark babies |

Bradley what a laugh, your right, i got 6x9s and all these people on here say it was the problem when the only problem was i had to face the sub the other way... Im sure people just like getting technical for the fun of it when most things are an easy fix....
