i mounted my amp in the factory position(on the right hand side of boot). the other one is infront of the wheel arch held by a bracket which is screwed into the metal at the back of the boot. it looks like it is not being held.

Best advice i can give is just to mount it where the factory ones go, thats where mine is, looks good and is completely secure and gets adequate ventilation.
All i did was make up a custom mounting board for it then carpeted it and then mounted the amp on that. Looks good and is very clean too. (quite happy with the result ) seing as it was a first. Personally i would just go with that. Good luck

LOOK at my gallery dude!!! There is F*** all you can do unless you want a complete professional boot intall etc. I actually had a few ideas but to put them to reality it was gonna cost me quite a bit.
I had to have a custom box made up so that it would sit up against the front of the Gas tank (see Gallery) i dont believe it has effected the sound quality as the only difference it would of made was how loud it would be. I have got it to stay in the one spot but later on down the track im gonna make up a proper boot linning etc so it all sits in thier properly.

poolep88,
I have a lpg tank and had the same problem. I made a box that fits in the boot floor recess, its about 150mm deep and holds 2 10in jvc subs. the box is easy removed to get to the tyre well. I made a board for the amps that has a hinge that pivots from the lpg tank mounting brackets. it is hinged so i can get to the lpg tank sender/valve box for service etc. sounds pretty cool to me. makes the boot usless though.

And theres the reason why Im scared to put my foot into the water as such, i need to sit down n think opf a way i can keep it looking neat/stock(ish)/and retaining boot usability..

It's always a tradeoff. My sub boxes have quick release fittings, so when I need boot space (or the fold down) they come out easy.

Yeah all i gotta do is disconnect sub wire and i can take my sub out, still pleanty of room in the boot, but i dont like ne thing sitting in front of the sub so i have to put everything on the LH side, as on the RH side i have the amp....
