I have premium audio in my ED Ghia with sub and factory alpine amp. I have installed a pioneer mp3 a few years ago and just recently added the sub. The sub is original ford that was reconed.
Problem is when i power on the stereo it pops loud in the back. I have used the auto antenna wire for the amp remote which also does the auto antenna. Theres no where else to put it. When the antenna goes up or down there is no feedback/noise. I know it sounds like a grounding problem but the amp was allready in the car from factory so all i have done is add rca cable and amp remote wire. Any help appreciated

If it's quality gear then this is pretty unusual as the amps are built to delay their turn on.
Cheaper gear can do this though. I think there is a little black box available which you put in your remote wire to delay the signal. Check with a car audio shop - won't cost much.
