To tell you the truth buddy i dunno why you really need a swicth for just simply adjust the bass from the headunit. In mine i just run loud off and turn the bass down and its like it doesnt even have a sub.

When you choose a sub you normally choose whether you want 'Hardcore, Loud, Bass' or 'Quality Bass' thats when you figure out what brands to go for.

Forget cheap s**t, spend a bit more and do it properly.
Hardcore Bass: Crossfire, Pioneer, Alpine
Quality Bass: JL, Cadance

Forget It: SONY!, el cheapo Brands.

Amp is where more than half of your money should go. No good sub, will run well without a good amp.

And about the switch. With amps, you need to run a fuse for them with 1m of the battery. Why not have a circuit breaker that you can turn on and off? I know its not in the cabin but you gotta understand the principle of things to find it.

Ready to help out......
