This will modify a sub, actually it will modify almost anything.

What are you actually trying to achieve with said sub mod?

Got to get me one of those...what a versatile tool!

To the OP...got to be more specific here. One hell of an open question with many interpretation.

...as in the actual subwoofer or the box it resides in?

What subwoofer have you got and what size box? Ported or non-ported?

More info please, or else you will never get an answer, we can't read minds.

Sorry!! The subwoofer itself is fine but the box is to big to fit in my ute! I need the slimline box to put into my ute with my subwoofer that I have at the moment! My subwoofer is a 12" cadence! Does this help at all?

Well that clears things up.

Yes you can modify the enclosure of the subwoofer to suit your needs, however most likely if you are going to pay someone to do it...they will make you a new custom box to fit the space you want it in with the required internal volume size recommended by the manufacturer of the subwoofer. It will be much easier to start from scratch then butch the existing box.

How handy are you with tools and building boxes out of MDF? It isn't hard to make an enclosure for the subwoofer if you know rough dimensions of the space it will placed in and the volume required by the subwoofer.

You can buy narrow enclosures pre-made, but they may not suit your subwoofer requirements.

Sorry can't help you with specialists. Have a google or look through yellowpages. Find some places and give them a ring or look up their company names on google and see if there are any reviews.

Have a look on Mobile Electronics Forum. I'm sure the question has been asked before on there and they are very helpful regarding these things.

Best of luck.
