Fusion is cheap-o s**t in general. Never heard a set of speakers that sound good, sub that can handle the power its rated at and not sound sloppy. If you think its 'awsum' you've got a long way to go - fusion costs f**k all for a reason.

Hostility in my thread  I agree cheap audio gear is horrible "compared to decent spec'd stuff" but if old oops young mate is comparing it to OEM gear sure it's an improvement. Each to their own.

I've got a 12" clarion sub in a sealed box & a clarion 200w 2chan amp bridged. It pumps hard enough for the rest of my system, without being over the top. It would probably go better with a mono block amp, but there are other things to spend money on atm.

I still have my premo sound tweeters in the dash in my EB Ghia, they still sound pretty good running off my head unit. I have changed the door speakers to some shallow mount 6" 2 ways, can't remember what brand, pioneer i think.

Cheers

ToranaGuy

you will also get better bass facing the sub towards the rear of the car, facing it forward is only really good if you wanna look at it with seats down!

Mines facing forward (single 12") and sounds fine.... I was advised if you listen to mainly 70's & 80'S music this is better but for later stuff face it the other way... Only going by what I was told....

Yeh if you still use your boot a single 12 will do ( just not that fusion s**t.) .

What's wrong with fusion??

Its s**t.

I've heard that the top range (forget their name) is pretty good. Just not the cheap s**t from Supercheap and so on.

I've got a single 12 in my boot in the correct size sealed box.
If you can try and build your own box instead of a pre fab box from a shop.

Thats mine atm, still needs carpet and tidying up. Nothing fancy or anything but does a decent job.
Running 500rms at 2ohm.

Tidy setup by the way.

There is always an excemption to the rule, the rule being OEM is installed to price and sounds crap.
