ended up gettin the uh089 the (one in the pic) from d**k smith i think its the same as uh013 but without detachable face, not too bad godda give it a test out of town next week.

i doint know if i can pick up police channels on mine, i drove past the copper last night he was pulled up talking on his uhf, and had mine on scan and was faintly picking up him talking maybe one of the channels has a frequency very close to police?

if it has the normal 1-40 none of them will be police...

press the button on the bottom left...
if it says off on the screen
turn the knob on the left till it says on
then hold down the button on the bottom right...

thats police scanner

Does anyone still use CB's anmore? I used to muck around with them a few years ago. I'll have to get my old 40 channel AM CB & give it a go!

Example of a UH-013 fitting in the Ghia.... The control unit is located in the tray forward of the shifter.

The main box is under the Drivers seat, with the Speaker cable tied to the Steering column.

Yeah, Not alot of people use AM CB's anymore, mostly just Bikes. You can Buy Intercom settups for Bikes to talk Helmet To Helmet, Bike To Bike, & if you splash right out, get Mobile phone pluged in & radio, etc etc. They still use CB as they now basically have 40 different channels to choose from without getting anyone else on them.

Hey Guys,

I can get all uniden gear cheeepa. I think UH013's can be done for around $350 (As opposed to $469 RRP!)

PM me for prices.

I had a UH-013 in both of my cars going back a few years. Quickly upgraded to Tait T2020's. Much better radio's.. 25W of pure grunt, and 100 totally programmable channels anywhere in the UHF band.

For my scanning requirements im using a Uniden 796D (APCO25 Digital) - no problems monitoring police and other digital users around NSW, ACT and VIC :)
