ok guys ive bought 2 pioneer tsw306c 1000watt max 400wrms subs but i want to know what would be the best amp to run them for under about $500? ive been told that you get better sound quality if you use a 2 channel amp, and ive also been told that you will get double the power out of a monoblock, so any info and ways of setting up would be greatly appreciated as it can all be quite confusing!

they are single. i was under the impression you needed double the power to run dual voice coil subs at the same volume

if they were dual coil you could of run them at the full 830wrms at 1ohm, but because they are single you will only be able to wire them at 2ohm

If you have dual voice coils you can only run half the power into each coil.

$499 for the 1500w is awesome!

There's Response 820WRMS Mono's on eBay for about that price as well. I bought one for $270 posted to my door and it absolutely pumps. Sadly I'm only running it at 4ohms so I'm only putting 400WRMS into a 1000WRMS capable sub :( I need a dual voice coil.

not too bad at all for that price. is it fine to run both subs off the one? all you do is piggy back them off the same terminal dont you?

I think I'd like to get one of those monoblocks to replace my 4x130w amp.
