they got a titanium core and are 220 watts per piece. you can pixk these up at any stratties shop. check out there specs on the web, i know they aint alpine but they are gr8 http://www.pioneeraus.com.au/car_entert ... index.html hope that helps |

Take the door skin off (it has to come off to change them anyway) and measure the depth. I am quite cure the Alpines will fit.
If your still worried about depth make up a small 6mm MDF spacer to sit them out a little, there is clearence behind the factory door grill for that.

Yeah you want to make sure that the magnet does not hit the window, but the 6 alpine speakers 'should' fit. And yeah as it was suggested use a spacer or something similar to get the clearance you need.

I love my Boston Pro 6.5's!! They need a little trimmed off the higher frequencies as the tweets tend to run away over 15K.
Highly recommended

will they fit?
I currently have kicker 6" splits in the back and have seen a set of kicker 6.5 " splits on ebay for $115+shipping (i paid $200 for my 6" kickers at jb hifi), and i'm wondering - will 6.5" speakers fit, or will i have to make a spacer to: a) make it fit the 6" hole and b) perhaps make it clear the innards of the door (window/whatever) |

Everyone says that to fit a 6.5" speaker, that they needed spacers. I didn't need to. I just enlarged the existing hole in the door by cutting out the hole out a tiny bit. It clears everything in the door. I have fuzion splits that required a mounting depth of 2.48 inches (this is roughly 6.5 cm). I have no problems with clearance of the door's internals. But this is just my set. Just mount them and see.
