OH, ok.....
Hmmmmm... Good to see Ford know what they put into thier cars. Read this: "Thank you for your e-mail to Ford Motor Company of Australia Limited. If the stereo is AWA or Clarion branded, you can contact them on 1300 730 730 for further information on obtaining the code or re-coding the unit. If your stereo is Phillips, you will need to send the unit away to the following address to be re-coded: Siemens VDO Automotive Att: Service Department 115 Northern Road Heidelberg West VIC 3081. Cost: $38.50 including GST. Paid by Money Order or Cheque made out to Siemens VDO Automotive. We hope this information is of assistance, should you have any further enquiries please contact the Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 FORD (13 3673), between Monday to Friday, 8.30am and 5.00pm. " So who do i call to get my stereo recoded ?

No... FMS is Ford - Mazda - Sony ... it was a company which they started up to manufacture audio equipment for their respective cars, Ford and Mazda. It has since closed down and Sony own the lot now. Nothing is sold under the FMS brand anymore.

mate; if you have the VIN of the car it came out of then just call ford dealerships withit saying you need the code.. may have to go in.
If not and you need it send to FMS, goto coffee ford in dande and they will give you the address of FMS service center, now overtaken by someone ekse but still run on the side. Good luck.

The CD stackers and their interface to the head unit are Alpine. Not sure about the rest of them though. Not that that's particularly relevant to the problem at hand...
My dad was able to get the code for a Mitsubishi radio he found in my Uncles garage (the plan is to put it in his Triton but we've just never got around to it) by simply taking it to the local Mitsubishi dealer. We had no VIN for the car it came from since even my uncle had no idea where it came from so I'm guessing they used the serial number to trace it. I find it hard to believe Ford can't do something similar.

if you need a radio code, you can get it from ford with just the serial number, as long as you also have the VIN of the stereo.
