what is the best eight inch sub on a bugdet?

I think a lot of people will say the Jaycar subs are good and cheep, and ill have to agree with them. JL used to make them, but are out of production.

JL still make 8" subs, but they arent cheap

i use to run a jaycar 8" free air in the parcel shelf
it worked, but to be honest, if your going to enough effort to mount it, set up amps and cabling, it isnt worth it. it lasted all but 3 weeks in my car spend the money else where and get better 6" for the back / front but thats on a bit of a tangent, the jaycar one is relatively good, gives lots of cone movement and sounds ok for what it is

yeh you'll hear of probs with jaycar cheap stuff too... Mate define budget then we can advise better.....if ya goin cheap its gonna sound s**t so why boither may as well get a set of 6x9 or something

JL still make them....just that they are very expensive....and quiet powerfull too....i like em =D

you can build a suprisingly small box for a single12" if you want....

Yeah get a 12inch that doesn't need a huge box, a sealed small box are the way to go for small spaces.
You better off with a 12inch that doesn't pump out alot, though needs a small box, than an 8 inch that pumps heaps for the same size small box. (Both subs with around same rated power and same size box, the 12 will go alot better, as most people will know) |
