I just bought a Pioneer 6950 head unit off ebay and was wondering what front speakers I should use with it?

I dont have any amps or subs but will be using amps in the future.

What about those speakers?

Will they fit in my door and will they run with the head unit?

As stated - without an external amp, it really dont make much difference as to what speakers you use off the HU. This is becuase the HU has a very small power output, and cant push a speaker to its potential.

Dont worry about max power ratings either - they mean nothing.
Look at the RMS value of a speaker, then match that with an amp with the same RMS value.
Most speakers with 50rms and up are good, and will be an improvement over stock, and when/if an external amp is used, they can take the power easily, and will sound much better.

If you want Pioneer speakers buy mine :D

I have an ED falcon sedan.

I might be interested in your speakers but the only thing worrying me is condition.

Does the dint in the cone affect sound?

If it were a hole in the cone, then it would. As it is now, nope.

I ended up winning those speakers in that ebay add.

Now how would I wire these up?

Would I use the existing wiring?

Hybrid Legonetta series splits would be nice although you will need an amp to run them + imporrt them from the US as there is no local distributor here yet.

Are you looking for 2 ways or 3 ways?

Amp wise Audison have some nice models depends if you plan on running active or passive though if you will need 2 channel, 4 channel or 6 channel models.

You could use the midrange from the splits you bought bandpassed as rear fill attenuated and keep the tweeters as spare or perhaps even use as abients. Are they harddome?
