i have been chatting to a mate who can get me a lil discount at jaycar, so i want to do a 90% jaycar setup (minus headunit, dvdplayer but might buy the screen)

im checking out the subs and i am unsure on what one to buy. im after 2x 12's but there is the metal coned 10's. so im asking for your opinions. whats your experiences with them? what ones do you recomend?

first up is the :

10" Profile Metal Coated Cone Subwoofer
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.as ... BCATID=396
Image

next is :

12inch 4 Ohm Subwoofer - Double Magnet
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.as ... BCATID=831
Image

then :

12" Precision Response Carbon Fibre Subwoofers
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.as ... BCATID=831
Image

and quite possibly (due to price) :

15inch 4 Ohm Subwoofer - Double Magnet
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.as ... BCATID=396
Image

my initial plans were the carbon fibre woofers but i have been told that the 12 inch 4 ohm dual voice coils go better/ just as good

i currently have a JBL GT4-12 sub which i put in my gf's car running from a boss amp and it goes pretty damn well.

i also sold my mate the 12 inch dual voice coil one before i got to use it (bought second hand) but it goes pretty good on his system too.

i just want something that will handle the bass when i turn it up

Well in that case imo and someones bound to disagree - I wouldn't be going Jaycar.....simple as that...

If you are gonna go with them...I'd be getting the carbon fibre 12"...sheerly because of the much larger RMS output.

What jaycar i take it mono amp/s or amp/s do you plan to run 2x Subwoofers off?

i went into jaycar today and the carbon woofers are HOT!!! i will be using the jaycar 1500wrms monoblock as the 800 has issues with them.

Yeh people have been giving good feedback on the 12" Response Carbon Fibre Subs but that amp is going to be overkill for them. Your best bet would be to get one of these
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.as ... &SUBCATID=

and buy two of the carbon fibre subs and run them off that at 2ohm. Each will be getting 255rms which should be plenty for what your looking for.

ill be using those ones for my speakers (2 of)

i know its overkill but i might expand to 4 subs in the future so im better off getting the best now.

im having 4 front speakers and 4 rear so the 2x150 amps will work out perfect for my setup

The carbon fibre one if your going jaycar.

The vennom i have used a lot in very budget systems and they sound average if you ask me.

No problem's good luck with the construction.

Mine is 32mm MDF and 12mm bullet proofglass, so allow some funds for purchasing materials.

havent had any experience with jaycar gear but from what i have read if you going to the effort of putting 4 subs in you are probably just better getting 2 good subs....what speakers are you getting? cause also if you want that much power you will need to have some good speakers and have them amped chronic....im amping my speakers and i just have one 12in 500wrms sub :?

im using the kevlar splits from jaycar, rated to 75wrms each but im running 2 speakers per door so the 2 speakers get 150wrms which is 2x75wrms so it equals perfect, the rears will either be splits to keep the same look (the yellow) or the cheaper coaxels which are slightly less powerful but ill be using the same size amp for them but just keep the gain down.

ill do a pic of what i want
