so the first one uses the wide ipod connector thingy (that u use to connect to comp) and charges

the second doesnt charge but still uses the wide thingy

the third just uses headphone jack


opinion?

lol not really interested in the extra 100 odd bucks for the amplified version when its already going to be gong through a 900watt amp

I've tried all 3 versions in my car.

Using the headphone socket results in a tinny crappy sound and needs the Ipod turned up to almost max to get a mediocre sound out.

Using the line out on the Ipod needs the ICC turned up to almost full to get a decent sound, but it still too soft and underdriven.

Both the above will usually induce bad engine noise into the sound signal.

You need the amplified version turned up about half way to get a decent input into the ICC. Then you have a reasonable range of volume and sound control on the ICC. Plus the amplified version filters out all external noise from the sound signal.

All you'll get with a 900w amp is 900w of s**t sound if you use a non amplified aux input.

Only my opinion. But I've been there and done that.
