So it's not my set up? I've got a friend who was having the same problem with this head unit.
That sucks! it's pissin me off
i fitted a pioneer stacker about 3 years ago,and i moded power mast to head unit,my unit had euro, asia settings and a host of options, spent 20 min to programmme it,radio ok can pick over 100ks.check and earth every thing, some units have a tuner screw to adjust to your aerial,on the back.

Radio receptions very dependent on the area dont forget, if theres lots of interference or dead spots due to valleys etc then u cant really blame the headunit..

dito ^

it depends on location, dont pick on brands either, ive installed many decks in many places and they have all worked nicely. i have had three kenwood decks, an aus 4026MP perfect reception evrywhere i went, an overseas MP825 model perfect recep, and now my MP9026 has perfect reception, naturally you loose it once your out of range so you just move to the next frequency.

Most important thing to check is your aerial mast whether electric or not needs good earthing, start there and work your way back to the deck, mack sure the aerial cable is snug in the socket not loose.

haha, get this.. i sorta fixed the problem.
I tuned all my radio stations down .1 and they're all crystal clear now.
So for example 101.9 is now 101.8, and 100.3 is now 100.2.

Wtf?
