Well, I got my front splits mounted properly, crossovers in decent locations.

Gone to install the rears, and WTF, they dont fit???? Were fords factory holes 5.5" or something?

Has anyone else had this problem. I did have 6.5" speakers in there til about half hour ago, but I was using mdf spacers.

The speakers are JL Audio TR600-CXi and the box, the manual says 6.00" or 150mm....now I thought thats what the holes were?!?!?

Help would be much appreciated.

So what is the problem? The speakers too big or the hole is to big. I know that you have to be careful which 6" speakers you get cause some dont fit. I know this is regards to the front door speakers but not sure about the back speakers. I got a wagon so i cant say...

The front fit like a glove....bloody perfect they are also JL Audio(not same series though) but the rear holes seem to be too small....but about 5mm, not even. Its really s**t me.

some speaker cases are actually bigger then the 6"... its the speaker size they go off not the overall casing size. so you could have an 8 inch casing but only 6 inches of speaker and they will call it a 6 inch speaker. perhaps the casing is a larger size.

options are
1. spacers
2. cut slightly bigger holes
3. buy some speaker pods for it - pre moulded
4. full custome fibreglassed parcelshelf ;)
