hey guys i only just realised i been running my 2ohm monoblock amp at 1ohm n nearly fried it, im using it to run an alpine 12" type r 1222d, wired the sub to run at 4 ohm but 300wrms just isnt enough! anyone know how id make 2x 2 ohm voice coils run at 2ohm together at the amp?

If its a 2ohm DVC sub you can only run it at 1 or 4ohms.
If u want to run 2ohms you will need to get a dual 4ohm sub

Or get a second sub the same as you have now and wire the coils in series and then wire the two subs in parallel and viola 2 ohms....

yes but for that a bigger amp would be a good idea as 300watts isnt enough for 1 sub if its a around 500watts at 2ohms then thats wont be enough for the two of them

run it at 4 ohms for best results unless you can get a 2nd amp. Always better to feed into a matched or higher impedance (Up to a point anyhow). You will lose dB driving into an impedance which is lower and run the risk of amp fizzling.
