Just wanting to know if it is difficult to wire an amp into a ba icc and how to do so

No, not difficult at all.

The ICC has no RCA output, so you wil have to use high-low level converters to pick up RCA input, but otherwise it is straight forward.

I have used them in my car and have experienced no drama's at all!

cheers mate and does that just plug straight into the back of the cd unit or the plugs underneath spoke to a dude at autobarn and he made it out to be a big drama wiring amps and subs in bas

If you have the money i would suggest a signal converter (i think thats what they are) over the hi-lo converter. The hi-lo converters are cheap and do the job but the quality of the output is nothing special.

When i first got mine (around a year ago) it worked fine for a few months but then got that computer speaker static which is always there now and its quite annoying.

There are converters and there are converters. The Alpine 4331 is a very high quality unit that I am told will not deteriorate with time. As opposed to the $15 Super Happy Lucky Brand or similar, which are renound for being total piles of shi-ite!

But.........yeah, you can go straight for the signal processor if you like.

A good one to look at is the RF 3Sixty1. Seems to have great processing power and is not BAD value at $400 or there abouts.

I am still very happy with my converters for $40 each tho (needed 1 for each amp) and threw the extra coin into the bigger mono in case I wanted to upgrade the subs later.

If you are not looking for a comp winning system, then the (good quality) high-low converters should be fine.

Yeah, fair enough, I guess whats good for some may not be ok for others.

What sort of static are you talking about? Like the mobile phone about to ring static, or something different.

Could it have something to do with the routing of the RCA's?

The kind of static you get from computer speakers when nothings playing. I dont think it's to do with the RCAs because it worked fine the first few months then the quality just went downhill. So i'm going to get a signal converter once i have the money for it.
