Hi Guys

I'm Chasing some help with how to wire this up coz its doing my head in.

This is for my BA with Standard ICC.

I have just bought an Alpine MRX-F65 4 Channel amp & I also have a MRP-M500 Mono Amp i picked up 2nd hand nice n cheap.

What I need to know is how do I wire this up so that the 4 Channel amp runs my front and rear speakers and the mono runs my sub? the MRX-F65 has low and high level in puts but the mono amp only takes RCA's.

All the Power Sources and out puts are already sorted as I am just upgrading so What i really need to know is how to sort the input side of things.

just a suggestion and I'm sure better ones will appear... but you could run a four channel line level converter from the four original channels then run the mono block from the sum out of the 4 channel if it has one.

Personally I would go down to Jaycar and get 2 X 1 female to 2 male splitters and run them off the rear rca wires. I have done this with my my units ( running 4 channel and mono all of rca's) and the connection is far better than running off speaker wires.
Similar to this ebay item I just quickly looked up, but jaycar will be cheaper than this and better quality

So, you run the 2 rca's for the front into your fronts of the 4 channel, then put a splitter on each of the rear rca's so you can plug L/R into the mono and also the rear of the 4 channel. Clear sound using a better quality connection than speaker wire.
One thing I did too is run electrical tape around the splitter joins for added strength for the connection.

Sorry, just read your using a stock icc and not an aftermarket deck. Id still run 2 low level converters close to the icc end and then run rca's to the amps. That way not too much signal clarity is lost from the speaker wires, not to mention the stock speaker wires would not be excellent quality in the first place. The LIe converters are around $20 each retail, but can be bought from ebay cheap, then run the 1 femal to 2 male splitters off the rca's. Will be a better quality sound than just using the stock speaker wires running from the front of the car to the low level line inputs of your amp.
Either that or run a low/high converter off the rear speaker wires as well as to the rear low input of your 4 channel, then run rca's

Thanks alot mate, very helpful, I'll be paying Jaycar a visit and going with the line level converter set up as my fronts are already set up with one for my old amp so just need to do the rears.

The best bet is
- Use a 4 channel line level convertor
- Bridge the 4 channel amp and use it to run your fronts
- Use the mono to run the sub
- Run the front output from the LOC into the 4 channel map
- Run the rear output from the LOC into the mono
- Run the rear speakers from the headunit front channel outputs

Then use the gains on the amp to set the level of the front speakers relative to the rears.

Fading to the rear on your standard ICC will then give you more or less sub in the mix.
