Alright I know this is Fordmods, but I cannot find any info on the net and maybe someone here has had some experience with 2002/2003 Kia Pregio's. The deck sucks a** and I want to put an mp3 player I have into it but I cant get the fascia off. It has a manual choke that turns to engage/ disengage as well. Any help would be appreciated as I spend around 50 hours a week in the van and would like to at least get the radio, especially seeing I have to drive to gosford tomorrow for a week long course.

You might have to take it to a pro, mate, who knows with those weird cars aye.

Quick fix though, maybe see if you can get an fm transmitter for the mp3 player?
Or if it has a cassette slot, dse has these tape adaptors that have a 3.5mm jack on the end.

Yeah its really weird. I undone the bolt at the base of the choke, but I cant get the knob off as it screws to turn on/off but it does have a small indent that I tried to jam a small flat head into thinking it might release but it don't. The deck is a cd player but just a cheap Korean crap piece that cant even get fm in Sydney. I can take a heap of cd's but I have mostly mp3 filed cd's so I would have been nice to drop the Kenwood deck into it. Might have to be a jobby for the pro's when I get back. The user manual actually has a wire diagram for the plug on the back of the stock deck so changing them must be either advised or common. The boss wont drop some cash for it so I was trying to do it myself. s**t his car gets a free mp3 and I have to pay for it to be installed! One thing too to anyone who wants a work van.... don't get a pregio. They are the biggest gutless piece of Korean crap I have driven. Needs a turbo as standard distillate produces no power out of a 2.7. Trying to get the boss to get me a transit and give the pregio to one of the other guys lol
