Ok guys the modding bug has bitten me hard and fast just now, what i want to do is wire up an x-box into my EB II so i can play when im out and feel the need to blast away .

I would like to do the install my self as i like projects such as this, but what i would like to know is:

Would it be necessary to buy another battery to use to power the xbox or would the battery in the engine bay be quite sufficent?(battery is a power crank 11 cell with 440 CCA) At the moment the only non stock components in the car as far as stereo wise goes are just a pioneer head unit and some 300 watt 5way 6x9's.

And would i need a relay or somthing along the lines so that once the car is in park the monitor works i want the monitor mounted in the dash of the pasenger side of the car but have herd of a legality issue with monitors working whilst driving a car as deemed to be a destraction.

Info is appriciated.

-Nick

hey,
if you dont want a flat battery run a second and iscolator,
and usally the screen will turn off and on with your park brake (example: park brake down = screen off).

Your standard battery will be fine.
You can cut the handbrake wire, for the light on your dash, but your's will be in a different spot. I have done this and put a clipsal mech under my gearboot (as its manual) so it can be legal, if ever pulled up and questioned about it. But flick the switch and it bypasses the handbrake and works all the time, the only thing is that the handbrake globe on the dash stays on, even when the handbrake is down.
Then i got a button for the rear wiper on a wagon for the switch for the inverter for my PS2. So i don't have some dodgy looking missle switch, etc.
I'm sure you could find the same for the EB.
Let me know if you need any more help mate.
Plus other people might have other ideas of how to do it all.

Ive got mine running from the accessory not attached to the hand brake...just have it off while driving round busy town.

Been parked beside 2 cops now at lights and with a 17" widescreen TV its very noticeable and theyve said nothing.

Made sure tho my dash mould didnt effect the front left hand side vision.

XBOX and monitor run into a 300w pure sine wave inverter...then to a distribution block attached to a 250amp relay.

This is co-powered with my sound system from 2x 650ca oddyssies and the starter batt isa 880ca yellow top D34 optima
