Similar to the above thread. I've just received an EL amp and high series head unit with the DSP. I've got no looms. What else do I need to get this working? Don't ask me to find parrallel this or what voltage is this etc. I am a retard when it comes to electrics. I just want plug and play. I've got a stock mid series with the 6 stack CD in the boot. Only thing I'm missing is the 8" sub which I'm not to worried about at the moment but would like to find one later on. |

Well I think you are going to have some dramas then if you are a retard as the wiring is not there for the high series so you will need to add the extra wiring into the loom. Someone else will know if any of the existing plugs can be used or not.

All I need is a high series loom?
The amp is four channel. basically I don't want to cut and splice anything. I just want to be able to plug and play. What will I need? I'll take some pictures of exactly what I have so hopefully someone can help out. |

For starters your amp is broken. The remote turn on is supposed to be a white socket where the hole is that is marked "remote", the blue wire with the white plug is meant to plug into it. Until that is fixed it won't turn on.
Then you will need the wiring that goes between the head unit and the amp for the signals and then you will need the power cables for the amp as well as the turn on wiring need to connect to the headunit on a connector that plugs into it. All of this wiring won't be in your xr mid range loom but the main white plug is but I don't if the pinouts are the same or not. I have the loom from an EF Fairmont but I don't know if it had the mid range or the high renge sound system in it or not. That is an Alpine with a ford sticker by the way based on a 3552 I believe. I seriously doubt that it will be a plug and play set up...

If you don't know what you are doing it may be out of your range if you don't want to splicing looms etc...
