That Rip Shifter looks neater. Looking forward to the paint being broken up. Its a pity you cnt lower it anymore though, as i think it needs to be to give it the right stance.

where did you get the shifter from and how much? been looking around fr one for a while but cant find any quality ones.. cheers
johnzy92 wrote: Cheers guys, The bonnet cost me $750.00 and $250 in shipping. The rear bar does look very out of place from some angles cause the skirts are too small in my oppinion, However i might look into getting some ba xr skirts and fitting them to balance it out a little.
Also got my T5 Short Shifter in the post today and fitted it. Alot better!!! and the shifts are more smooth now aswell. Money Well Spent. Before: Stock shifter After: GM Motor sport rip shifter Also if anyone has any hints on fixing my sunroof please let me know, i cant really splash $2500 on a new one, Not just yet anyway and i need it fixed asap. Cheers. Its a Hollianda 700. Fitted from factory. I would like to recomend this Phat custom Kit to people who are interested in modifying their ef el xr falcons however having been through the experience i have been through i would hate to suggest to someone getting it and go through exactly the same trouble as me. |

Alot of people on here have been saying that Phat Custom kits are dodgey as aye, ill have to keep that in mind if i ever get a kit for the BA. Everyone reckons SSV are the go, expensive but good quality.

Mate they are, take it from me first hand trying to fit a kit to my BF fukn nightmare, bought ssv products soooo much better quality, best to spend more up front than heaps on paint and install

I think everyone is right to say that the black isnt as suttle as the dark argent colour however i also like the look of black on red. If the front bars were painted in black and color coded the 20" to match??? so black 20" FPV Dark Argent wheels and having the lips on the front and back of the bars and the foggies also black??? I dont know what would look better. i see alot of potential i tried it with the black/grey foglight inserts and it just looks too "busy"....... borderline rice in my opinion. Looks so much cleaner when left red........ i reckon looks better without the foglights too, but i guess its better than leaving a gaping hole instead |

I bought my GM Motor sport rip shifter off e-bay. $500 plus postage but well worth the money.
As far as engine mods go all i really had in mind was polished rocker cover atm. I have been trying to focus on the bodywork and overall look of the car for starters. The rip shifter was just a necesity in my opinion. FORDFAIRMONT: That photoshoped pic of the car is fantastic, really gives me an impression on how the car will look with the FPV's on. I like the clear repeators and the all red does look good, i have to admit. i think its growing on me. Also i was pondering on removing the rear spoiler, i think it gives it a much nicer shape with the kit but never really decided on wheather or not to keep it or remove it, but now looking at the pic i say remove it. Another thing with the spoiler from the back of the car it helps to balance it out a little, the rear bar is very beefy and the wing makes it more balanced. I still say remove it though, lets see..... And the sun came out today, Rare in SA.lol and the weather was nice so some more pics for the thread. Thankyou for all your comments and contributions to the thread, Cheers!

Despoiler it.
Gotta at least spray the lower air dam in the bar grey man.... its all way too much just red. $500's a lot for a shifter too.. could have got a Billet product locally cheaper than that.. or a Steeda for less than half. |

Whoah this is starting to look really nice in a hurry!! Love the fact that the red is so RED, mine has faded to going on pink on the rear now! Front has been resprayed twice that i know of, rear is original paint, plus I've left it with just the front parked in the shed for a year now, made it even worse
I'm going to vote for de-spoilering as well, that's the next thing I want to do to mine. I'd love to see a photo dead on from the front if you get a chance, that bonnet bulge is growing on me really fast!! It looks great without any other vents on the bonnet too, I wasn't sure how it would look. Not sold on the bonnet protector tho |

Actually, this would be one of the rare cars I say to leave the spoiler on.
If it's the one I think it is with the centre "foot" that sticks out a bit, EL GT or somthin like that, (there's no close up of it so I can see 100%) It dose balance the car, and your car has a sporty look not a sleek cruiser look...and it works bloody well! Don't be too quick to take it off...it seems no spoiler is the new spoiler.
