Hey guys

Im looking for some help, i have a BF and wish to put a BF Gtp front end on it.

Would anyone have a idea how much this would cost for supply and paint? Also where is best to buy this part and any suggestions for a paint shop in western sydney area.

Thankyou :)

Hi Az id try ebay first for the genuine or a copy bar. As for paint shops i would shop around as the quotes can be very variable.

Is this the look you are going for?

http://ssv.com.au/product.php?BKP074

if you look at the picture on the link and get the part number, you might want to give them a buzz and ask for just the front bar.

As said above, ask around for painting as it varies.

Thanks guys, yea i looked at ebay but didnt really want a dodgy one, even if it is a bit cheaper on ebay id rather pay a bit more to buy from somewhere reputable.

just been looking all over the site i have found, and wondering if anyone has seen a super pursuit front bumper installed on a xr6 with standard xr6 side skirts. does it actually suit the car?

sorry for so many questions, i just want to make the right decision as most people do. thank you tho for the support.

Ok be aware the foglights are different on the gt's hence hard to come buy, and cost bomb, not sure in the way of aftermarket offering, genuine front bar same story.
Remember panel beaters are all over the place price wise, and generally wont be keen on estimate, unless they can see it, but don't forget, cheapest isn't always best.

You wont get answers if you don't ask the questions...

if you look at a pursuit ute, the side skirts aren't really much different from the XR's, i haven't personally seen a standard XR with the pursuit front bar but in my opinion i think it would look good.

make some calls and ask if the bar comes with the lights and mesh etc.

good luck and let me know how you go!

Hey Mate,

The Typhoon front bar looks a bit better with the XR6 side skirts IMO.

thanks guys, currently weighing up my options. going to save some coin and get a new bar and new side skirts (mine are a bit tacky) and possibly put a new xr8 bonnet on it and do a full respray as with the color of my car it would stand out. and may aswell make the car look like a machine

Stick with SSV mate, they have been around for ages and make top quality stuff. I have just done the same using Phat Custom Kits and had no end of problems. They are cheap but there is a reason for that, it just looked dodgy and didnt fit properly. I just bought the BF GT bar for XR headlights off SSV for $605, had a look at it on Friday and it is sooo much better quality than the phat custom kits one i had previously bought.

Cheers

Phil
