I agree tyre prices are dropping and if you are confortable with 20s its your call but for an ef i think its too big. It wont cruise very nice over bumps. As far as the comments about the sound system speakers they are pathetic and in need of replacement[unless youve got a premo system]. Im not saying in anyway to leave it stock but 20s are still overkill on an EF. Whilst you car might be low kms etc, you might be surprised to see how little they are actually now worth. Market Value is prob 3k- 3.5 on car and wheels and tyres 2k+. I dont mean to upset people but often people buy crap cars and spend more on them than they are worth and get upset when they sell them and get sweet f**k all. All im saying is keep s**t in perspective.

you couldnt be more correct but youre still missing the point! spend 4k or so and you get a sweet e series- that looks like the other half a million around. spend 15k and you get a sweet ba- that looks like the other half a million around. but spend 2k on wheels, and a bit more on some other aftermarket stuff and it starts to look like more than the sum of its parts.
i bought my ef gli much cheaper than my ba ghia. but i get MUCH more looks in my ef, and my BA has 20's (FOR SHAME!) not to mention that when i go out to the garage to choose a car to roll in, 80% of the time it will be my ef. cheap peice of crap? yep. but i love it. and if you check out my gallery i reckon you wont think it looks TOO bad either

dont get too upset over my opinion on sik bling blings. Its only my opinion.

Some look nice, like fordfreak's wheels look 'OK'

But the car above i think it doesnt suit, it looks like wheels off a tractor have been modded to fit. But hey, who cares..... im the moron who thinks 17's are still cool

haha get worked up over their 20's

yes the spotties dont fill up the hole because i dont like the factory repeaters. Car is only on lows cause its a family car, and i like to keep it legal.

and for the stock as a rock comment, i betcha it would put car lengths on your tokyo drift machine

i was actually offered $7000 4 my "crap car" not long ago... i didnt part with it because i love my car and iv put to much time and effort into it.. plus iv got a hilux 4x4 when i feel like going 4 a play... if u think 20s dont suit a ef then dont comment on it... there are e-series geting around with turbos and blowers on them but im sure ur not telling them 2 keep things in persective... people modify their cars for the pure pleasure of it not 2 be rational haha

and shakn-1 i reckon ya car looks tops :D

have u rang any of the panel shops in town??
best bet would be to try bosleys crash repairs, he does fantastic work.
other than that any of the other places such as Noddys, Judd's or United Panel works should be able to do it for u.

Smoken ef, $7000 is a Fantastic offer but that is not what market value is. I dont mean your car in paticular is crap was just trying to point out a fact.
Im all for huge wheels if you have done significant upgrades that warrant the need. If you do it because you like people looking at something different go for it. At the end of day while driving unless they see your tyre size on the side of the tyre 19" or 18" will look just the same to most people. Choice of the nicest looking rim for your car will be the hardest choice. Post up some pics when you get them on, and as others say rolling gaurds is a must. Cheers

no probs mate and i no that 7k isnt market value 4 an ef, i was just stating that i was offered a reasobly large sum 4 a "older" car.. im goin with 20s because at this point in time i havnt seen or no of any ef in mildura with 20s.. im chosing from the range that tempe has in the pre-au offset..

everyone feel free to put in your opinion on what i should get..
http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_b ... eel+Wizard

im still undecided wether 2 go with au offset due 2 the use of spacers.. but may consider it because of the lack of choice in pre-au offset.
