After a close inspection i noticed this was actually under the clear, can i remove this without needing to repaint?

Thanks

Hi mate just after some advice. My DC LTD recently met a fence front on at about 30-40km/h. The only structural damage I can find after taking off bumper/headlights etc are where the bumper bolts to the chassis. I've added a few pics and just wanted to know if it would be possible to repair it and what you think it would cost if possible. Thanks.

Can I ask about ceramic clear coats that are used on euro cars.
Is it significantly better in protecting against the sun ? 5-6year on my BA and the clear is stuffed.
Any benefit in adding opticoat after a paint job ?
Thanks

If the paint under it is in good nik, just spray over top, only should need to prime where youve done any repairs/theres bare metal showing through...

This happens to me too if I go to heavy/thick, and also if its too cold/damp air...
If it dries like that often its there for good, although I have sanded/buffed out small ammounts in the past with success...

The data sheets for your clear should have the recommendations listed, ie;
Desired pressure, flash off, etc... And the min/max temp/humidity.

I like the idea of ceramicoat too, it cures rock hard... Minimal stone chips, scratches etc...
Ive seen it used in engine bays often...
Id say hell yes, theres massive benefits, along with the massive cost too though.

I don't know if the stuff is still available, the last car I sprayed was back in the 90's, I used to use a bit of thinner retarder, that used to slow down flash off time and prevent any white patches coming up when spraying in humid/cold weather.

And that worked pretty well?
How cold would it have been, and how did you guess ratios?

Spray cans are just a "dont even bother" under 15°
