sounds like a sweet idea, and i doubt it would be hard to do. the only thing i can think of that wouldnt be so good is the hole left from the old antenna, unless your planning on plugging it somehow...

G'day

Sounds like an ok product but how does it work with our fm signals here in aus? Are they the same as what they discribe as xm signals?

As my arial hole, door locks and the gaurds are being rolled this week ready for prep this is something i'm looking at doing. I'm having a little trouble in finding something like the ba that is aftermarket.

Cheers

XM=satellite radio

the best option is to hide the existing aerial elsewhere on the car, or get one of the "stinger" type ones like the newer cars have

Or you do what happened to me, 100km/h + kangaroo

buried the brake pedal, forgetting that I had ABS, it only slowed the car down, by the time i slowed down enuff, the tail of the roo, ripped the aerial clean out of the guard.

no problem, bye bye electric aerial, it just has a little dag of metl hanging out of the gaurd, but it still picks up all the radio stations a-ok

my car is a au3 futura

hmm yeah i have been thinking along the same lines for the last few months. Hate that f**k aerial. Maybe i can bog and paint the hole up and do something like th BA's.

But now im thinking along the lines of custom aerial connected the the line on my kenwood deck so it olny comes up when its on radio. If its up when the radio is on ill get a switch from a high series and connected it the home way.

but keep us posted with what you do. I my self may do the custom electric idea.

I was thinking of this when I put my new guards on, would look much smoother but probably not worth it and the guards are already painted. Why can't we just use what the BA/BF has. Who's had a look at their setup?

Ben

Because its part of the rear window on sedans, rear side window on wagons and quarter window on utes. Its actually on the glass like a rear demister.

Brilliant. Spending the extra money on the Alpine deck may have paid off afterall :D Is it better sound quality?

I just did a quick search and there isn't much about it being in Australia.

Back to my CDs...
