hey guys, always wanted a sunroof, just wanting to know if they are expensive to get done for just a basic pop-up one... or are they a major job that can end in tears?

alot of cars you cant just get the $800 popup one fitted, because they dont replace the structural strength in the roof once the hole is cut
at least for the AU's you have to get the better ones such as Hollandia 700 series as they have all the neccessary re-inforcement built into the frame at least thats how it was explained to me when i enquired for my previous AU |

as long as your not cutting through a roof brace you can put in a popup. The Hollandia 700 is a integrated electric slide-back sunroof and would require cutting through a roof brace, hence the reason they have the extra reinforcing in the frame.
