Just thought I would chuck a coupla pics up of the XR conversion we did on the weekend. All up it cost us $500, which is pretty damn good IMO!

BEFORE:

This was around 12 months ago.

NOW:

This is the bit that made the front bar - Yup, just cut the other part off, and stuck this on!!

Image
Just starting - Unscrewing the original lights and bar.

Image
The lights are out and the bar is cut!

Image
Yup, looks like it should fit!

Image
Screwing new XR lights on.

Image
WOOHOO! They work!!

And the end product....

So, there ya go! I'm over the moon with the conversion, and it only took around 3 hours to do.

Next on the list, well, I dunno. We've run out of stuff to do! Considering a whole new colour change, will wait and see!

Great job.
Can the same be done to the EF XR to EL XR just using the top bit of the front bar?

Post it on the net, and put the link in the your sig. That way I could see it. I have done the same with my 'in process' doco.

Amber - how did you stick the XR bit on to the original bar??

looks very nice man. clever way of doing it too. can u tell up close that the front bar is two separate parts?

i'm more interested though in your driving lights. they look like they've got some rubber moulding in behind them. where'd u do that and how much?!
