I remember there was a post somewhere about the annoying yellowing that happens to the headlights on EFs and ELs, I was just wondering, did anyone come up with a great, simple and cheap answer on how to fix them? or does anyone know what section the post was? thanks

Yeah well we have had some Dodgy ways! Like one member (1mileSnipper)sweared black and blue that he ahd just used Throttle Body Cleaner on the problem headlights and it instantly worked and took all the Yellowing away. It was obviously a prank and soon a few other members inlcuding myself tryed it and ended up with more than yellowing lights. Like full on Opaque ones. I luckily only used a it on a small part of the light and then realised.I had been PRANKED

was almost the way i did mine too, cept i didn't go to 2000 grit, 600 & 1200 was enough, also didn't have to remove the indicator or put masking tape on the bumper, just took care where and how i rubbed with the wet&dry, but the most important point is the plexus, that made all the difference, only need to use it about twice a year to bring the lights back to good as new appearance, it's great stuff alright great doco production guys while we're on the subject of plexus, i've forgotten the name of the place in perth i got mine, it was in osbourne park though, somewhere near john saunders drive or somewhere like that, a plastics supply place, they were part of a national chain of stores, i thought it was milford plastics but that doesn't come up on a google search .... in the old fordmods i posted about this stuff and where i got it from, but thats all gone now |
