Hey Guys,
A bloke on here has just offered me a bit of money for my 17" CSA Dominators in AU-BF offset. He's giving me his stockies to chuck on my car as a temporary fix but I will need new wheels very soon... What do people think of the 18x8" BA Typhoon wheels? They come in pre-AU offset and arrive at my door for a touch under a grand... 
I'm open to other suggestions of other wheels but I don't want to spend any more than $1500 all up, wheels and tyres... Here's a quick photochop of them on my car...

not too keen, i dont think spokies really suit ef,els. i dont like em, but hey its not my car!

I would say try get a set like mine but they are over your bugdet, but there is ponential with those wheels once you get a kit

They don't look too bad. I like them better than the 5 spoke GT-P copies every 2nd ef has.

hmm... not much positive feedback coming...

Plus 19" is getting a bit big for me. And I already got the kit, I thought you knew that, I'm fitting it these holidays so that will change the look of the whole car of course... Try and get something noone else has. Do you know an E-series with these wheels fitted? I thought they were fairly uncommon as they're not readily available from common wheel places. I'd love to see a pic of them fitted if you've seen it. I'll keep looking around of course but it's so hard to find wheels in E-series offset that arent as common. Besides, when you come by a good set of wheels in E-series offset, you don't want to part with them which makes them next to impossible to come by second hand. And you pay through the nose for nice wheels from Bob Jane and places like that.

me too, Dad did a lot of work for the guy that runs our local one... I'm on the phone to them at the moment. I'm just gonna' go down now and have a look at some catalouges...

Ok... Just went down to Bob Jane and spoke to my mate. Apart from the typical FORD wheels that every E-series have, there are the following available...
- AMG Quakes - 17" $1250, 18" $1600 
- CSA Retros - 17" $1450 I can't find a pic of these anywhere... All those prices are for packages with good rubber at mate's rates  ... But, there really isn't many choices out there for E-series... The Typhoon wheels end up being $1490 with rubber posted to my door.
Anyone got any suggestions for wheels around the $1500 price?
